Find Love at Your Library

Data, A Love StoryValentine’s Day is almost here and – depending on your relationship status – you’re probably either excited about it or dreading it. Cynics everywhere will denounce February 14 as a holiday, but many would sing a different tune if only they had the right person with whom to spend the day. If you haven’t found that special someone yet, don’t worry. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and there are plenty of books in the library that can help you find the right one!

Here are a few books that you can find at JMRL on the topic of dating:

Data, a Love Story: How I Gamed Online Dating to Meet My Match by Amy Webb — A personal account of a digital-strategy expert’s efforts to date using current online technologies recounts how after numerous setbacks she strategically changed her approaches and met dozens of worthwhile candidates.

Love Smart: Find the One You Want, Fix the One You Got by Phil McGraw — The best-selling author and talk-show host presents a guide for singles that explains how to find the right person and how to sustain a loving, committed relationship, offering helpful advice on the world of dating, emotional and sexual gender differences, online romance, and more.

Get the Guy: Learn Secrets of the Male Mind to Find the Man You Want and the Love You Deserve by Matthew Hussey — A relationship expert and star of the reality show “Ready for Love” offers women a guidebook that reveals the secrets of the male mind and the fundamentals of dating and mating for a proven approach to finding lasting love.

Why Can’t I Fall in Love?: A 12-Step Program by Shmuley Boteach — Explains how to overcome the messages of a self-obsessed society to make a love connection, arguing that love involves sacrifice, compromise, generosity, selflessness, and vulnerability, qualities that are being stifled by modern society.

Why He Didn’t Call You Back: 1,000 Guys Reveal What They Really Thought About You After Your Date by Rachel Greenwald — Presents case studies and anecdotes compiled after a research study explaining the reasons why men do not call back women after a date or online encounter.

The staff at the library will be happy to help you find the book that is just right for you.
